With just under 6 weeks to go until the UK’s biggest independent metal festival, Bloodstock Open Air will return to Derbyshire this August. Around 15,000 will congregate at Catton Park in Walton-on-Trent, which has been held annually since 2005.This year’s line-up has been confirmed and includesMegadeth, Down, Children Of Bodom and Emperor, as well as more than 100 other acts across four stages, over the four days!
The 4 days of rock and metal will commence on Thursday 7th August and come to a close on Sunday 10th August. Dedicated fans can camp for the full duration to get that proper festival feel. There is much more to offer than just great acts this year, including a huge international market, fairground rides, late night entertainment in the Sophie Lancaster tent and ‘The Bloodstock Arms’ bar, which will serve real ale, and even a signing tent where you can meet members of your favourite bands.
As the festival’s website says: “This really is an unmissable date in the headbangers calendar.” The full line-up can be viewed at www.bloodstock.uk.com.
