Now hailing it’s 8th year, Redfest returns to Redhill, Surrey next week for the annual 2 day music festival which takes place on the 25th and 26th July.
There are a number of stages hosting a diverse mix of musical genres from rock, indie, pop, acoustic to DJ’s and even rap, r’n’b & dance – Main Stage, The Total Uprawr (alternative stage) and The Introducing stage. Performances this year from the likes of Skindred, Lewis Watson, Young Kato and Peace.

Redfest has gained a reputation in the music scene as being a festival that gives new/upcoming bands, solo artists and DJ’s a chance to showcase their talent across the weekend, along with discovering new talent of national and local acts.
Skindred are alternative metal band from Newport, Wales who formed in 1998. Their musical genre is a mix of heavy metal, alternative rock, reggae and punk. They won best live band at the 2011 UK Golden God Awards and the devotion award at the 2011 Kerrang! Awards. Skindred have now gone on to release their fifth studio album ‘Kill The Power’ on the 27th January, 2014.
Peace are a indie quartet from Worcester. The first single ‘Money’ off their second album received it’s first airplay this year on Radio 1, back on the 15th April. Take a look at the music video below. The release of their 2nd album is yet to be announced. The band will be performing at Reading & Leeds festival this year, playing their largest show as a band to date on the main stage, along with supporting The Libertines at Alexandra Palace on the 26th September.
