Music Review: For All Those Sleeping – ‘Incomplete Me’

The first single from the album of the same name, ‘Incomplete Me’ is the latest song from Minnesota metalcore band,For All Those Sleeping.

Containing plenty of clean vocals, the song is more immediate than many preceding songs from the band. The chorus, in particular, will lodge itself in your head and refuse to leave, while the verse will destroy your insides with it’s raw aggression. The unclean vocals here are impressive and show a good range from vocalist Mike Champa, ranging from raw emotional screams to more death metal inspired growls. The clean vocals excel in the chorus, but come across as incredibly jarring during the intro and pre chorus, where bassist London Stetsinger sounds remarkably like Sum 41‘s Deryck Whibley. Despite this, the song is a good first single.
